Production engineering, correctly defined

We do not redesign the structure. We make the approved structure manufacturable.

The partner's architect and structural engineer define and approve the building. ERGIO develops the information required to manufacture it predictably: geometry, interfaces, panelisation, timber members, machining operations, connectors, component references and production release data.

At early stages, we can review architectural information and prepare a simplified production study for feasibility and quotation. Before final production release, the structural design, calculations, interfaces and responsibility matrix must be approved by the relevant project parties.

The factory must know which version is valid.

Every change after acceptance can affect price, material procurement, machining, previously produced elements, logistics and delivery. The production workflow therefore uses explicit revision status and approval gates.

Questions before technical handover.

Exact deliverables, responsibilities, formats and dates are agreed per project and reflected in the commercial offer.

Does ERGIO perform structural calculations?+

No. Structural design and calculations must be provided and assumed by the partner's appointed structural engineer. ERGIO can review manufacturability, propose value-engineering options and create the detailed production model based on approved structural information.

Can ERGIO start from architectural drawings only?+

In many cases, architectural information is sufficient for an early feasibility study, simplified production concept or preliminary quotation. Final acceptance drawings and production release require the necessary structural design, calculations, performance requirements and coordinated interfaces.

Which file formats can be submitted?+

Typical inputs include IFC, DWG, Cadwork and other professional 3D CAD formats, supported by PDF drawings, specifications, calculations and schedules. The most suitable exchange method is agreed for each project.

Who approves the acceptance drawings?+

The partner's nominated project representatives approve the acceptance package and remain responsible for coordination with their architect, structural engineer and other designers. ERGIO requires consolidated comments and a clear final approval before production detailing is released.

Can ERGIO optimise an existing design?+

Yes. We can propose options related to material use, panelisation, machining, connection repeatability, transport and assembly. Any change affecting design intent, structure or compliance must be reviewed and approved by the responsible project party.

What happens when the project changes after production release?+

The change is assessed for engineering, material, manufacturing, cost, delivery and site impact. Work already completed or material already ordered may require a commercial and programme adjustment. No change is implemented without a controlled instruction.
